Bitauto News: Recently, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), stated in his personal WeChat public account that the competitive landscape of battery companies has formed a relatively strong characteristic between Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) and BYD. Currently, there is still a significant gap between BYD and CATL. BYD's market share has risen from 15% in 2020 to 25% in 2024, reaching 26% in the fourth quarter. By contrast, CATL's market share in the fourth quarter has dropped to 43%, and other battery companies have shown a clear differentiation in their market shares. The battery industry has exhibited a slowdown in the concentration effect of leading companies, maintaining a 70% share for the top two companies this year, compared to 72% in 2022. Other companies have around 30% of the market space.
