More about Li i8
During the presales start event, Li Auto officials shared some interesting highlights about the i8. This three-row SUV with a five-meter body has a drag coefficient of 0.218 Cd. The i8 became the first Li-branded model to adopt a white steering wheel. The car’s cabin adopts ambient lighting. Seats of the Li i8 have 30-mm foam that is said to improve softness. The front and the second-row chairs offer soft pillows atop the headrests. The second-row right seat of the i8 can recline to 145 degrees. It also has a power-elongated leg rest with a maximum angle of 78 degrees.
The third-row seats of the Li i8 have a height of 333 mm. Passengers here have 875 mm of leg room. For comparison, the full-size Li Auto L9 EREV crossover offers only 799 mm of leg room for the third-row passengers. Other highlights of the i8’s interior include cooled wireless charging pads, a speaker in front of the driver, and a sunroof that blocks 99.9% of UV rays.
The i8 is available with two battery variants: 90.1 kWh and 97.8 kWh. Li Auto officials said that the i8 with a bigger pack supports the 5C fast charging technology. It can add 500 km of range in 10 minutes. The energy consumption of this model lies in a 14.6 – 14.8 kWh range. This vehicle adopts a dual-motor 4WD and dual-chamber air suspension as standard.
