In a global context marked by challenges in international trade, BYD reinforces its commitment to Mexico by announcing the opening of the first dealership for its premium brand Denza in Latin America. The Chinese firm confirmed that this new branch will begin operations in Monterrey in September 2025.

Although the exact location has not yet been revealed, it is known that the dealership will be in a strategic area of the capital of Nuevo León, where demand for premium electric vehicles has shown sustained growth. This launch will mark the start of Denza’s formal commercialization in Mexico, a brand that was born in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and is now exclusively part of BYD’s portfolio.

Denza arrives in the country with a proposal focused on design, elegance, and sustainable technology, and seeks to become an alternative for consumers who currently favor brands such as Audi, Lexus, or BMW. Its flagship model, the Z9GT, has generated excitement in Europe and is one of the most anticipated launches for the Mexican market.

Jorge Vallejo, CEO of BYD Mexico, highlighted during his participation in the Global Transportation & Innovation Summit 2025 in Monterrey that with Denza, the goal is to penetrate the national luxury market with an option that combines high design, innovation, and technological quality. The executive stressed that BYD will continue to bet on Mexico “with the best product and the best distributors, at an extremely affordable price.”

The opening of the dealership will coincide with the launch of a new fast-charging digital platform, which will allow BYD electric vehicles to be charged in just five minutes, representing a significant advance for the country’s electromobility ecosystem.

BYD consolidated its position in 2024 as the world’s largest seller of electric cars, surpassing Tesla, with more than 417,000 units sold outside China. In Mexico, the company aims to close 2025 with more than 100 dealerships and double its current sales, which already reach 40,000 units, with a projection of 80,000 vehicles sold by the end of this year.
