Notably, overseas sales of passenger vehicles and pickups hit 100,009 units in January — a 43.3% surge from a year earlier. This milestone marks a critical breakthrough in BYD’s globalization strategy, positioning international markets as a key growth engine.

Breaking it down by brand, the Dynasty and Ocean networks remained the primary drivers, moving 177,522 units by leveraging a diverse product matrix targeting the mainstream market. The FANGCHENGBAO brand contributed 21,581 units, as its rugged off-road models continue to gain traction. DENZA sold 6,002 vehicles, with steady growth in its high-end MPVs and SUVs, while YANGWANG moved 413 units, further cementing its position in the ultra-luxury segment.

To date, cumulative sales of BYD’s new energy vehicles have surpassed 15.3 million, keeping the automaker at the forefront of the global shift to electrification. The January figures not only validate BYD’s combined strengths in technology, product lineup, and distribution channels, but also underscore the rising prominence of Chinese EV brands globally. As the company deepens its overseas production footprint, BYD is poised to expand its global market share further in 2026.
