Recent disclosures have shed light on the battery and powertrain specifications for the upcoming ID.Unyx 08. Positioned as a pure electric mid-to-large SUV, the ID.Unyx 08 is set to offer two battery capacities: 82.368 kWh and 95.04 kWh, delivering ranges of 630 km, 700 km, and 730 km. The vehicle will also feature 800V ultra-fast charging capabilities and an L2++ level advanced driver-assistance system.
The ID.Unyx 08 adopts a fresh design language, characterized by its narrow, upward-sloping daytime running lights that flank a central Volkswagen brand logo. The front fascia features a closed grille complemented by a trapezoidal lower air intake and a subtly shovel-shaped front lip.
From the side, the SUV showcases a dual waistline design, hidden door handles, and a choice of two wheel styles. The rear design is comparatively more understated, featuring narrow, straight taillight clusters.

In terms of dimensions, the ID.Unyx 08 measures 5000 mm in length, 1954 mm in width, and 1672 mm (or 1688 mm, depending on configuration) in height, with a wheelbase of 3030 mm.

Under the hood, the ID.Unyx 08 will be powered by an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 230 kW (308 hp). As mentioned, it will offer battery capacities of 82.368 kWh and 95.04 kWh, supporting ranges of 630 km, 700 km, and 730 km.

Beyond its powertrain, the ID.Unyx 08 is equipped with an L2++ level advanced driver-assistance system, which includes a “parking-to-parking” function for enhanced convenience. The vehicle will also integrate an AI intelligent assistant powered by a large language model. Full-vehicle OTA updates will keep the ID.Unyx 08’s software current, while the 800V architecture enables rapid charging times.
Further details regarding the ID.Unyx 08 is anticipated. According to Volkswagen China, by 2027, more than 20 electrified intelligent models will be launched. By 2030, the pure electric intelligent vehicle matrix will expand to approximately 30 models, comprehensively covering various market segments.
