The BYD Qin L DM-i is expected to go on sale on May 29, equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM-i hybrid technology, according to local media.

The Qin L DM-i is expected to be priced around CNY120,000 (US$16,610) to CNY150,000, according to local media.

One of the key reasons why Toyota is leaning towards adopting BYD's DM-i technology is that it is less expensive and relatively mature, according to local media.
