BYD is expected to unveil its electrified pickup truck this month. It revealed a few details about its first pickup truck recently.

The BYD Shark is a plug-in hybrid that may also get a fully electric version at some point.

BYD has confirmed the Shark pickup truck will debut with a plug-in hybrid powertrain; set to make its world premiere at Auto China 2024.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the truck will be launched this year with dimensions exceeding the Toyota Hilux and focussed on the global market.

BYD's first new-energy pickup truck is officially named BYD Shark, built on the DMO super hybrid off-road platform, the company said.
