BYD is updating its Seal lineup in China with a new 800V platform, and a LiDAR sensor to improve driver assistance systems and battery options. it will also introduce a plug-in hybrid variant. The BYD Seal will be the first vehicle to use the new e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture.

BYD will launch the 2025 Seal EV and the new Seal 07 DM-i on August 8. The former will be the first sedan based on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform, while the latter will be equipped with DM 5.0 hybrid technology.

The new 2025 model year BYD Seal electric sedan was revealed in official images. It adopts a LiDAR sensor and a few exterior enhancements.
