China's BYD says 5,000 NEVs set sail for Europe

Chinese carmaker BYD said on Wednesday that a third roll-on/roll-off ship carrying close to 5,000 new energy vehicles bound for Europe has set sail.

BYD, a global leader in electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, has marked another significant milestone in its international expansion strategy with the launch of its third 7,000-car carrier.

The BYD's Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5 PHEV off-roader will be sold overseas under the Denza B5 name. It has 677 hp and a mixed range of 1,200 km.
