Prominent Chinese EV maker BYD Company (OTC ) is gearing up to enter the Canadian automotive market, despite potential tariffs on Chinese-imported vehicles. Canada is considering following the U.S. and EU in imposing these tariffs to counter what the West sees as China's excessive EV subsidies.
