BYD’s European Regional Managing Director Maria Grazia Davino said on Wednesday that the Chinese automaker is planning a major expansion across Europe next year.

The new plant will join the company’s other Hungarian facility, located in Komárom. Last year, BYD sold more than 4.27 million electric vehicles worldwide, becoming the world’s best-selling EV brand.
