The latest data reveals that BYD has outperformed Tesla in European sales for two straight months, signaling a major shift in the electric vehicle market as Tesla struggles to regain its former momentum.

BYD registered 17,954 vehicles in Europe in February, beating Tesla's 17,664 for the second consecutive month. Year-to-date, BYD leads Tesla by over 10,000 units.

BYD knocked Tesla out of the top spot when it comes to global EV sales, thanks, in part, to its entry-level models, superior tech, and government support.
