BYD has partnered with DJI to release Ling Yuan, a $2,200 vehicle-mounted drone system that consists of a storage compartment and an on-board positioning module handle. The included drone (DJI Air 3S) can perform a dynamic takeoff / landing while the vehicle is moving at speeds of up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h) and can follow at speeds up to 33.5 mph (54 km/h). The new DJI drone system is supported on several BYD EV models, including the high-end Yangwang U8, Denza N9, and Sealion 07 DM-i.

The Sealion 07 DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition features the Lingyuan vehicle-mounted drone system, jointly developed by BYD and DJI.

The system integrates a drone with the vehicle, thus giving the vehicle a vertical field of view.

Denza N9 is a six-seat hybrid SUV that will compete with Li Auto's Li L9 and Aito's M9.
