Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD has issued a recall for 16,666 Seagull electric vehicles produced between April and May 2023. Some of the vehicles have issues with camera driver software which could lead the reversing screen display to fail. This can consequently affect the driver's field of vision and increase the probability of accidents, as per China's market regulator.

BYD will upgrade the software for the recalled vehicles free of charge via OTA to ensure that the reversing image is displayed properly.
