The Stellantis-backed Chinese automaker Leapmotor reached annual profit for the first time, according to the 2025 financial report. The company doubled sales and revenue, and secured investment inflow from the state-owned enterprise.
Leapmotor is a young Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer founded in 2015. It commenced sales in 2019. In late 2023, one of the world’s biggest automotive groups, Stellantis, acquired 20% of its stake for 1.5 billion EUR (1.77 billion USD).
In August 2025, Leapmotor announced its interim financial results, achieving the first semi-annual net profit of 30 million yuan (4.17 million USD) for the first half of 2025. The growth was primarily attributed to a rise in vehicle and spare parts deliveries. As for the twelve months of 2025, Leapmotor delivered 596,555 units worldwide, up 103% Y-O-Y. The company launched three new models: the B10 crossover, the B01 sedan, and the Lafa 5 (B05) hatchback.
