On May 15, Dongfeng Nissan’s first new energy vehicle, the N7, surpassed 10,000 orders just 18 days after its launch, becoming the fastest joint-venture pure electric vehicle to reach this milestone in the industry. On the same day, Dongfeng Nissan held a delivery ceremony for the first batch of owners at its Shanghai New Energy Brand Experience Centre, marking the beginning of nationwide deliveries.

Since its launch on April 27, the N7 has quickly become a top choice for mainstream families. With its ultra-comfortable features and competitive pricing, the vehicle has demonstrated exceptional appeal, particularly among younger demographics. About 70% of buyers are young first-time purchasers or customers switching from other brands, while 30% are loyal Nissan customers upgrading their vehicles.

Customer purchasing patterns reveal that over 71% of users decided to place orders after just one test drive, and more than 60% opted for the fully-equipped Max version with the “Super Comfort Package.”

The delivery ceremony occurred at Dongfeng Nissan’s New Energy Brand Experience Centre in Shanghai, a city with over 68% EV penetration. Shun Sekiguchi, Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company General Manager, Zhou Feng, Deputy General Manager, and N7 product ambassadors personally handed over keys and customised gift boxes to the first 35 owners.

Addressing delivery timeline concerns, Zhou Feng stated: “Since launch, orders have exceeded our expectations! We’re continuously improving production processes and efficiency, coordinating resources to increase capacity rapidly, and striving to deliver N7s to users in the shortest possible time.”

While accelerating deliveries, Dongfeng Nissan maintains strict quality standards. The N7 underwent over 7,400 R&D evaluation tests, 5,500 quality confirmations, and 2,000 production vehicle quality control inspections during development.

The N7’s ultra-safe battery not only meets all 24 current standard tests but also already satisfies three new standards set for 2026, including thermal diffusion, bottom impact, and post-fast-charging cycle safety tests.

As the first joint venture brand to fully implement a separate order-delivery-service channel model, Dongfeng Nissan has established over 100 delivery centres and over 500 retail centres across 240+ cities nationwide. The company creates dedicated service groups for owners after delivery and has upgraded its Super APP to provide online maintenance appointments and real-time repair progress tracking.
