Reports circulating online suggest that the refreshed Xiaomi SU7 is gearing up for its official launch on March 19. The updated electric sedan has already commenced pre-sales with prices ranging from 229,900 to 309,900 yuan (32,800 to 44,300 USD).

The pre-sale pricing represents an increase of 10,000 to 14,000 yuan (1,400 to 2,000 USD) compared to the current model, though there’s speculation that the official launch price might see a reduction. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously stated that sample vehicles for the new SU7 are expected to arrive in dealerships by February 13, allowing potential buyers an early look.

As a facelifted model, the exterior largely retains the current SU7’s design, with subtle refinements. Noteworthy changes include an optimized front bumper grille for enhanced recognition and the addition of a new Capri Blue paint option. Dimensions remain consistent with the current model, measuring 4997mm in length, 1963mm in width, and 1445mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm.

Inside, the cabin receives detailed upgrades, including a new steering wheel design, a revised sub-instrument panel, and optimized stitching on the door panels and seats. The soft-touch coverage has been significantly expanded, complemented by a three-layer ambient lighting system that wraps around the cabin.

Previously, the entry-level rear-wheel-drive long-range intelligent driving variant lacked LiDAR; however, all new SU7 models will now come equipped with LiDAR. Furthermore, the entire lineup will feature a 700TOPS auxiliary driving computing chip, a significant upgrade from the previous maximum of 508TOPS, and will standardize the Xiaomi HAD auxiliary driving system.

Safety has also been bolstered, with the number of airbags increasing from seven to nine. The vehicle’s ‘armor cage’ steel-aluminum hybrid body, which previously had a maximum strength of 2000MPa, now boasts 2200MPa hot-formed steel door anti-collision beams across all variants, alongside a standard ’embedded roll cage’.

Under the hood, all new SU7 models will feature the V6s Plus motor as standard, replacing the previous V6 and V6s motors. This upgrade translates to increased power output: standard and Pro models see their maximum power rise from 299 horsepower to 320 horsepower, while the Max model’s comprehensive power output increases from 673 horsepower to 690 horsepower.

Charging technology also receives a major boost. Standard and Pro models transition from a 400V platform to a 752V high-voltage platform, and the Max model upgrades from 871V to an 897V high-voltage platform, approaching the 900V mark. This architecture allows the Max model to replenish up to 670km of range in 15 minutes, an improvement from the previous 510km.

Electric range has also been extended across the board (CLTC standard). The standard model’s pure electric range increases from 700km to 720km. The Pro model sees a significant jump from 830km to an impressive 902km. The Max model’s range is also enhanced, moving from 800km to 835km. Suspension capabilities are refined as well; previously, only the Max model featured air suspension with CDC dampers, but now both Pro and Max models will come standard with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC dampers.
