The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has released more official images of its first MPV, the Luxeed V9, jointly developed between Chery and Huawei. The new car features helmet airbags, Huawei’s Qiankun ADS advanced driving system, HarmonyOS cockpit, and range-extender system.

The official launch is expected to be in the first quarter of this year and in the 400,000 to 500,000 yuan (57,400 to 71,700 USD) price range, primarily targeting high-end family-oriented and executive consumers, with competitors including models such as the Li Auto Mega, Zeekr 009, and Voyah Dreamer.

In the front, the closed fascia adopts Luxeed’s family design language, with headlight clusters similar to the Luxeed R7, a chrome trim is beneath the through-type light strip, and a grille located at the bottom.

In the rear, the full-width taillight is incorporated with blue indicator lights to signal advanced driving system activation.

Electric sliding doors.

The entire series is equipped with electric sliding doors and adopts a 2+2+3 seating layout. Additionally, dual independent zero-gravity seats with legrests and supports 180° rotation, triple screens, a ceiling entertainment screen, an oxygen generator, a refrigerator, and the industry’s first helmet airbags are all present.

During a collision, the seats will be automatically pulled back to a safer position and the helmet airbag will be deployed alongside side airbags simultaneously.

Conventional door handles.

Dimensionally, the Luxeed V9 measures 5359/2009/1879 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 3250 mm.

Power comes from Huawei’s “Snow Owl Intelligent Silent Range Extension System”, utilizing a 1.5T engine as the range extender and dual electric motors, paired with 37.017 kWh lithium iron phosphate and 53.352 kWh ternary lithium battery from CATL. The engine has a maximum power output of 115 kW (154 hp). The total battery weight is 290 kg and 302 kg, respectively.

The Luxeed V9 has three pure electric driving ranges of 158 km, 223 km, and 210 km (assuming under WLTC conditions). Its comprehensive range is 1,200 km. Additionally, Huawei’s DriveONE 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform is also onboard the vehicle.
