Nio partnered with Disney to release a limited-edition ET5 Touring model (ET5T), the Tron Limited Edition, timed with the release of the movie Tron: Ares. The edition is designed with unique exterior and interior styling inspired by the film. It is capped at 555 units, available for complete vehicle purchase at 316,000 yuan (approximately 44,358 USD) or via the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan at 208,000 yuan (approximately 29,204 USD).
The ET5T Tron Limited Edition features a deep space black exterior with Tron Limited Edition-themed decals. Standard equipment includes the Moon exterior theme package, roof rails, and 20-inch five-spoke wind-speed wheels with orange brake callipers. The edition also consists of the same chassis as Nio’s Champion Edition, with upgraded front and rear anti-roll bars, increased torsional rigidity by 6%, and a body roll gradient below 3 degrees per g. The chassis supports a dedicated sport-oriented software calibration and a new EP Mode for expanded driving scenarios and custom settings.
Inside, the Tron Limited Edition offers a futuristic design with standard Electric Purple interior trim and Nappa & Haptex dual-material seats. For a limited period, buyers also receive the “Comfort Pack,” which includes a heated steering wheel, front-seat ventilation and massage, and rear-seat heating. The model comes with the NOMI Mate 3.0 infotainment system.
The 2025 ET5T features a revised front fascia with sharper vertical lines, an innovative ADB multi-beam headlight system, updated Double-Dash daytime running lights, a closed front grille, and a larger trapezoidal air intake.
For driver-assistance, the ET5T Tron Limited Edition is equipped with 29 high-precision sensors, including an equivalent 300-line LiDAR and 4D imaging radar, and is powered by Nio’s self-developed Dimensity NX9031 chip. The vehicle also features the Nio World Model (NWM) to enhance assisted driving capabilities.
For reference, the 2025 ET5/ET5T models start at 298,000 yuan (approximately 41,812 USD) for complete purchase or 190,000 yuan (approximately 26,682 USD) under the BaaS plan, with a battery rental fee starting from 728 yuan (approximately 102 USD) per month.
