The Leapmotor B05 hatchback was first unveiled at the 2025 Munich Motor Show in September and will be introduced to global markets gradually from 2026. The vehicle measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm. The design adopts a sealed front grille, split LED lighting, frameless doors, and a roof spoiler that complements its fastback profile.

The rear features a full-width LED tail-light strip with the “LEAPMOTOR” script positioned at the centre. Six paint options are available, including Electric Yellow, Wind Grey, Starry Blue, Morgan Pink, Galaxy Silver, and Metallic Black.

The cabin of the Leapmotor B05 follows the same design philosophy as the brand’s B-series models, featuring an 8.8-inch digital cluster, a 14.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen, and the Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus system powered by Qualcomm’s 8295P chipset. The model supports dual AI assistants (DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen), a 12-speaker Leap Sound system, a panoramic roof, and 256-colour ambient lighting. The front seats feature ventilation and heating, while the passenger side offers a “magic expansion island” console with wireless charging and modular storage.

Power is generated by a rear-mounted single-motor setup with outputs of 132 kW or 160 kW, enabling top speeds of 160 km/h and 170 km/h, respectively. The high-output model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. Two battery packs are available: 56.2 kWh for a 515 km CLTC range and 67.1 kWh for a 605 km CLTC range. Fast-charging allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in about 18 minutes.

Higher-trim versions of the Leapmotor B05 hatchback include a roof-mounted LiDAR system and a Qualcomm 8650 chip offering 200 TOPS of computing power, supported by 27 sensors for advanced driver-assistance features. The company has also confirmed a future B05 Ultra variant with sportier exterior kits, larger spoilers, and exclusive matte paint, planned for release in mid-2026.
