Stelato, a brand under Huaiwei‘s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), has officially released images of its updated mid-to-large-sized sedan, the new Stelato S9. The refreshed model boasts upgrades in exterior details, including brand emblems, taillights, and wheel designs, alongside enhanced configurations and an advanced intelligent driving assistance system. The new S9 is slated for an official market launch in November.

As an annual refresh, the new S9 retains its overall silhouette, largely consistent with its predecessor. The front fascia continues to feature the “Universe Headlight” design. However, the updated model introduces a new “Universe Star” brand emblem and “Brilliant Star River” headlights, offering a heightened visual identity. The side profile maintains its minimalist and flowing lines, now complemented by new wheel styles and optional electronic exterior rearview mirrors.

At the rear, the new S9 showcases a redesigned “Nebula Through-type” taillight cluster, accented by a chrome strip above the lights. The “Stelato” brand emblem has been repositioned from above to below the taillights. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5160mm in length, 2005mm in width, and 1492mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3050mm.

A key highlight of the new S9 is its upgraded Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving assistance system. The hardware suite includes four LiDAR sensors, a distributed 4D millimetre-wave radar matrix, and 36 high-precision sensors.

Under the hood, the new S9 continues to offer both pure electric and extended-range electric powertrain options. According to previous declarations to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the pure electric variant is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, powered by a TZ210XYA03 drive motor with a maximum output of 227 kilowatts (304 hp), promising a range exceeding 800 kilometres. The extended-range version will feature Huawei’s “Xuexiao” intelligent extended-range system, delivering a CLTC combined range of over 1300 kilometres.
