Geely announced a global winter testing program scheduled from late January to mid-February 2026 in Northern Europe, involving multiple existing Galaxy models and several new vehicles undergoing their first Nordic cold-weather validation. The program reflects expanded overseas testing activity linked to product preparation for international operating environments, according to Y-Auto.

According to the announcement, models including the Galaxy V900, Galaxy M9, Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i, Galaxy Starshine 8, Galaxy A7, Galaxy Starshine 6, the Geely EX5 marketed in China as the Galaxy E5, and the Geely EX2 marketed in China as the Geome Xingyuan will travel across Eurasia and assemble in Gothenburg before undertaking long-distance testing exceeding 2,000 kilometers. The testing program will cover multiple driving scenarios and road conditions under low-temperature environments.

During the winter testing phase, the vehicles will undergo evaluations of low-temperature energy consumption, driving range, and charging behavior. The program also includes assessments of vehicle systems and functions under cold climate conditions. Three new models will conduct their first Nordic winter tests, while the Galaxy Battleship model will also participate in global winter testing.

Geely Galaxy stated that the Northern European testing environment provides operating conditions that are difficult to replicate domestically, including prolonged low temperatures, high humidity levels, icy road surfaces, and extended periods of low light. The testing aims to identify functional issues related to vehicle components and systems under extreme conditions, including mechanical, sensor, and electronic systems.

The program will include testing at the Colmis winter proving ground, where vehicles will conduct specialized verification covering more than 700 kilometers and multiple complex road conditions. The testing will focus on key modules, including electric power systems, intelligent all-wheel drive, thermal management systems, and advanced driver-assistance functions.

Geely Galaxy’s model lineup referenced in the testing program spans multiple segments and powertrain types. The Galaxy V900 is an extended-range MPV launched in January 2026, priced from 269,800 yuan (37,900 USD), with a combined CLTC range of up to 1,220 kilometers, powered by a 1.5-liter range extender and ternary lithium batteries. The Galaxy E5 is a compact electric SUV launched in 2024, priced from 109,800 to 145,800 yuan (15,300 to 20,300 USD) and offering a CLTC range of up to 530 kilometers.

In 2025, Geely Galaxy was upgraded from a product lineup to an independent brand, integrating MPV products and expanding its model portfolio across electric and hybrid segments.

The winter testing program will continue through mid-February 2026 as part of Geely Galaxy’s global vehicle validation process.
