Sherrod Brown, a Democratic Senator from Ohio and chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, has urged US President Joe Biden to impose a complete ban on the US’s sale of China-made electric vehicles (EVs).
This is the strongest comment made by a US Senator against China-made EVs, as opposed to steep tariffs proposed by other lawmakers, the BBC reported.
Last month, Interesting Engineering reported how a $10,000 EV from Chinese carmaker BYD was poised to disrupt automobile giants around the world.
