The Europe-bound high-end NEV brand Voyah is getting ready to launch the full-size NEV crossover in China. Loaded with Huawei tech, it will rival other China-made SUVs, including Li L9, Aito M9, and Denza N9.
Voyah is a brand under Dongfeng launched in 2021. Its current model line comprises two crossovers, one sedan, and one minivan. In four consecutive years of operating in China, this brand delivered 218,904 units to customers, according to China EV DataTracker. For context, it isn’t a significant number in China since the independent Chinese startup Li Auto sold one million cars more in the same period.

Voyah actively explores overseas markets to compensate for slow domestic sales. It began its international expansion in Norway in June 2022. Shortly after, Voyah officially entered Israel and Finland. In 2023, this brand started sales in Denmark. Last year, Voyah kicked off sales of its model line in South European countries, including Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
However, the export volume of Dongfeng’s high-end brand also isn’t high. So, the automaker needs to improve its performance in China to stay afloat. Therefore, Voyah is getting ready to enter the growing full-size SUV market with its latest product.
New Voyah SUV spotted in China
Spy shots of the new Voyah model codenamed “Taishan” were shared by Autohome. The spotted car was covered with heavy camouflage. However, we could still highlight some of its exterior features. The Voyah Taishan has an almost flat front end with a high bonnet line. The new car adopts black multi-spoke rims, slanted A-pillars, and a LiDAR sensor on the roof.
Other features of this full-size model include power folding side-view mirrors, roof racks, and a flat roofline. Its dimensions have yet to be revealed. However, the Taishan is positioned as the Li L9 rival. So, its body length is around 5.2 meters.
This car will most likely be available as PHEV and BEV, similar to other Voyah-branded models, including the Dream minivan. The Taishan will also be equipped with Huawei hardware and OS, including the ADS 4 driver’s assistance system. It supports the cross-level parking valet function with automatic ramps, uphill, downhill, and curve recognition. More information about the Voyah Taishan as we get it.
