Updated details on Chery’s 2026 Exeed Exlantix ES electric sedan, including its battery and range, have been released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The new model is equipped with a 97.682 kWh battery pack and offers two range options, 835 km and 860 km, depending on the configuration and tyre size, although specific testing conditions were not disclosed. For reference, the current Exlantix ES EV, launched in May 2025, is available in three trims with CLTC ranges of 705–710 km and is priced from 189,800–269,800 yuan (approximately 26,660–37,950 USD).
The Exlantix ES EV retains its mid-to-large sedan dimensions, measuring 4,945 mm in length, 1,978 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height (1,467 mm for some trims), with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Exterior updates include a closed front grille, slim full-width LED headlights, and a rear light bar integrated with the bumper. Higher trims feature ISD interactive lighting and an electric rear spoiler. The model also features frameless doors and hidden door handles, along with standard 19-inch wheels and optional 21-inch wheels equipped with six-piston fixed callipers.
Inside, the Exlantix ES EV is fitted with an 8.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip powers the cabin and features support for Lion AI voice assistant, Huawei HiCar, and Apple CarPlay. The dual-spoke steering wheel includes touch-sensitive controls and heating functions.
Advanced driver assistance is a key focus for the updated model. Select trims, including the Max and Ultra variants, feature roof-mounted LiDAR and the Falcon driver-assist system, supported by 30 high-performance sensors and dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin X chips. The system delivers 508 TOPS of computing power, enabling end-to-end urban and highway assisted driving, as well as full-scene parking assistance.
The current Exlantix ES EV lineup includes single- and dual-motor variants. The single-motor version produces 230 kW and utilises a 77 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, achieving a 705 km CLTC range. In contrast, the dual-motor model delivers 353 kW with a 100 kWh ternary lithium battery, resulting in a 710 km range. Top trims are further equipped with CDC electromagnetic damping and IAS air suspension.
Positioned as a mid-to-large electric sedan, the Exlantix ES competes with models such as the Xiaomi SU7 (215,900–299,900 yuan / approximately 30,300–42,100 USD) and BYD Han L EV (219,800–279,800 yuan / approximately 30,900–39,260 USD). According to recent sales data, Exeed sold 557 Exlantix ES units in September 2025. Chery has yet to confirm pricing and launch details for the new extended-range model.
