Chery’s high-end Exeed brand has previewed its upcoming electric SUV, the Exlantix E05, which adopts a new design direction and will become the first production vehicle to feature Horizon Robotics’ Horizon Super Driving (HSD) system powered by the domestically developed Journey 6P chip.
The E05 is the latest addition to the Exeed Exlantix series, following the earlier launches of the Exlantix ES sedan and Exlantix ET SUV. Compared to those models, the E05 introduces a rounder and fuller exterior design. Teaser images show a horizontal light signature across the front, sharp LED headlamps with a triple-stripe daytime running light motif, and English “EXEED” branding prominently displayed.
At the rear, the SUV features a full-width taillight assembly with segmented lighting effects, a shark-fin antenna, and a roof spoiler. The rear design mirrors the front in branding and styling details.
The Exlantix E05 will be the first model to implement Horizon Robotics’ HSD system alongside the Journey 6P chip. The chip, developed by Beijing-based Horizon Robotics, delivers 560 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of computing power and includes 18 Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU cores and four Nash BPU cores. It supports 18-megapixel front camera input and 5.3 Gpixel/s image processing bandwidth.
While Chery has not yet disclosed the specific assisted driving functions for the E05, Horizon previously stated that the HSD platform is designed to support urban features such as continuous lane changes, pedestrian yielding, obstacle detection, and narrow road avoidance. Chery noted that this integration is part of its “Falcon” intelligent driving strategy, and that mass production of the E05 is planned for September 2025.
The E05 joins a lineup that currently includes the Exlantix ES (priced between 152,800 yuan and 299,900 yuan, or approximately 21,400 USD to 42,000 USD) and the Exlantix ET SUV (172,800 yuan to 319,800 yuan, or about 24,200 USD to 44,700 USD). According to June 2025 sales data, the ES and ET recorded 2,228 units and 1,907 units sold, respectively.
Chery has not yet released technical specifications such as battery capacity, drivetrain configurations, or interior features. Further information is expected closer to the vehicle’s official launch.
