BYD’s Fangchengbao Tai 3, also known as the FCB Ti3, is a compact electric SUV under the company’s off-road-focused sub-brand. BYD revealed a special edition co-branded with Black Myth: Wukong, a hit action RPG based on Journey to the West that has sold over 25 million copies worldwide since its August 2024 launch. The vehicle will debut at ChinaJoy 2025, one of Asia’s largest digital entertainment expos, held annually in Shanghai.

The special edition adopts a “72 transformations” theme, inspired by one of the mythical powers from Sun Wukong (the Monkey King). It features a black base colour with prominent gold decals and accents. The vehicle includes a reworked front bumper with a large splitter, a roof-mounted set of five spotlights, and added lighting elements around the fenders. The hood design incorporates intake-like styling for visual effect.

One of China’s top games is now featured in BYD’s sub-brand SUV FCB Ti3.

Additional customisations include two-tone black and gold wheels, a rear-mounted cargo box bearing the Fangchengbao logo and “Wukong” lettering in gold, and a fixed rear spoiler above the rear window. The vehicle continues Fangchengbao’s rugged aesthetic while integrating game-themed visuals.

The Ti 3 debuted in April 2025 as a compact SUV inspired by sci-fi designs. It features a sealed black grille, LED daytime running lights, and a trapezoidal lower front bumper. The rear includes a dual-level spoiler and a side-opening tailgate with an integrated 28-litre external storage case.

Two variants are offered: a standard model and a “drone version” with a raised roof section for drone integration, increasing the vehicle’s height to 1,930 mm. Overall dimensions for the base model are 4,605 mm (length), 1,900 mm (width), and 1,720 mm (height), with a 2,745 mm wheelbase.

The Ti 3 runs on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo+ and uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout, delivering a combined 310 kW of power. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.9 seconds, and the top speed is 201 km/h.

The range is rated at 501 km under CLTC conditions, though battery capacities vary: 65.28 kWh for rear-wheel-drive models, 72.96 kWh for AWD, and 78.72 kWh for the drone variant.

Inside, the Ti 3 includes a 15.6-inch centre touchscreen (12.8 inches in some variants), full LCD instrumentation, and a 12-inch head-up display. It also features ambient lighting, ventilated and heated power front seats (in all but the base trim), a four-spoke steering wheel with terrain mode selector, and built-in tools like a flashlight, microphone, and a temperature-controlled compressor fridge.

Ongoing BYD & Wukong collaboration spans multiple themed models.

In terms of market positioning, the Ti 3 is priced between 133,800 and 193,800 yuan (approx. 18,700 to 27,000 USD), and competes with models such as the iCar V23, Smart #3, and Zeekr X. June 2025 sales of the Ti 3 reached 12,017 units.

Alongside the Ti 3 collaboration model, BYD will also display other co-branded vehicles at ChinaJoy 2025, including the Han L, Seal 06 GT, and Denza Z9 GT, all previously shown at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show as part of the ongoing partnership with Black Myth: Wukong.
