BYD has introduced the ATTO 2 DM-i to European customers. The compact SUV features the company’s Super Hybrid with DM technology, combining electric and petrol powertrains.
The vehicle is available in two versions. The Active variant features a 7.8 kWh battery with 166 PS system power, offering 40 km pure electric range and 930 km combined range under WLTP testing. The Boost version uses an 18.0 kWh battery with 212 PS system power, providing 90 km electric range and 1,000 km combined range.
BYD said the Boost version achieves weighted combined fuel consumption of 1.8 L/100 km. The vehicle measures 4,330 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,675 mm tall, with a 2,620 mm wheelbase. Both versions use a 1.5-litre petrol engine with thermal efficiency of 43.04% alongside electric motors.
The ATTO 2 DM-i includes an 8.8-inch instrument panel and 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Active models feature 16-inch alloy wheels, whilst Boost versions receive 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, a panoramic roof and vehicle-to-load capability at 3.3 kW.
In a statement, Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, said: “Super Hybrid with DM technology offers an ideal stepping stone for customers who want the EV driving experience without any worries about range anxiety.”
First deliveries are scheduled for early 2026 in European countries. Prices will be announced in individual markets. The vehicle comes with a six-year manufacturer’s warranty and eight years’ cover for the drivetrain and battery.
