BYD’s (OTCMKTS: BYDDY) premium brand Denza has launched the updated N9, maintaining its starting price while enhancing features to bolster its presence in the large luxury SUV (sport utility vehicle) market.

The 2026 N9 retains its starting price of RMB 389,800 ($54,870) while introducing upgrades including enhanced cabin chip, larger screens, and new exterior and interior designs.

The update arrives just six months after the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) was launched in March, making it one of the fastest-iterating models under BYD’s umbrella.

The updated N9 offers three variants priced at RMB 389,800, RMB 409,800, and RMB 449,800 respectively.

By comparison, the previously available N9 offered two variants priced at RMB 389,800 and RMB 449,800.

The six-seat hybrid SUV serves as Denza’s flagship model, maintaining identical dimensions to its predecessor: 5,258 mm in length, 2,030 mm in width, 1,830 mm in height, and a 3,125 mm wheelbase.

It continues to utilize BYD’s e3 technology, featuring a powertrain comprising a 2.0T engine and three electric motors, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The vehicle utilizes BYD’s Blade Battery, delivering up to 230 kilometers of pure electric range. With a full tank of fuel and fully charged batteries, the combined range reaches 1,330 kilometers.

Like its predecessor, the updated N9 features BYD’s God’s Eye B driver assistance system with the hardware including a roof-mounted LiDAR. It supports functions such as city NOA (Navigation on Autopilot).
