The Avatr 06T station wagon debuted official production images in a new orange colour today. While the model was first teased on February 3, these latest visuals confirm the final exterior trim before the May launch. It serves as the lifestyle derivative of the 06 sedan and marks the debut of the Huawei Qiankun 2.0 partnership.
Tech Specs: Tri-Motor Power and 5C Charging
CarNewsChina previously reported that the Avatr 06T is expected to be longer than the Avatr 06’s 4855 mm body length. Autohome confirmed the 06T measures 4940/1960/1475 mm with a 2940 mm wheelbase. The pure-electric BEV version utilises an 89.33 kWh battery pack and offers two motor configurations: a dual-motor rear-drive setup and a high-performance tri-motor four-wheel-drive system. The latter features a 210 kW front motor and dual 251 kW rear motors, delivering a combined output of 712 kW (955 hp) and pushing CLTC range over 740 km. The EREV variant features a 1.5T engine with 115 kW peak power paired with a 45.06 kWh battery, delivering 330 km of pure electric range.
Design Pivot: The Return of the Rear Window
Visually, the 06 T’s production trim confirms a major departure from Avatr’s “no-rear-window” design language. Unlike the sedan, the 06T features a traditional rear windshield and a rear wiper integrated into the roof spoiler to improve the wagon tail’s aerodynamics. The roofline features functional luggage rails and the “watchtower” LiDAR pod, while the door handles have been updated to a semi-hidden design, likely a response to shifting Chinese safety regulations for emergency access.
Intelligence: Huawei ADS 4.0 and 192-Line LiDAR
The 06T is the flagship for the Huawei-Avatr Strategic Partnership 2.0, debuting the 192-line LiDAR sensor. This hardware extends the effective detection range to 250 meters, a 20% improvement over previous generations, powering the Huawei ADS 4.0 system. Inside, the 06T inherits the sedan’s 35.4-inch windshield-base display and 15.6-inch HarmonySpace 5.0 central touchscreen, though rear passengers gain approximately 15 mm of additional headroom due to the extended wagon roofline.
Reality Check: The Lifestyle Trade-off
While the wagon silhouette suggests utility, the 1475 mm height indicates a low-slung performance stance rather than an off-road capable crossover. The inclusion of a rear windshield is a pragmatic retreat from the brand’s aggressive “no-window” design language, likely a response to consumer feedback regarding rear visibility in the standard sedan, targeting a Q2 2026 market launch centred around the May Day holiday.
