BMW said its iX3, the first model in its all-electric Neue Klasse series which was launched earlier in September, will be sold in Europe from March 2026 at a price of 68,900 euros ($80,700). Franco-Italian carmaker Stellantis will no longer exclusively produce EVs as part of its target through 2030, Jean-Philippe Imparato, head of enlarged Europe and European brands, said. The B05 will be delivered in Europe from the second quarter of 2026 after its launch in China later this year, and will come in six colours.
China’s BYD to start Hungary EV plant by end-2025, executive says
The first model off the line will be the Dolphin Surf compact electric car. The news follows a Reuters report in July that BYD was considering delaying mass production in Hungary until 2026 and operating the plant below capacity for at least the first two years.

MUNICH (Reuters) -Major automakers showcased their latest models at the Munich car show on Monday, unveiling new EVs and lower-cost models as Europe's auto sector fights crises ranging from tariff hikes to rising costs and rivalry with Chinese firms on their home turf. With many auto companies concerned over Europe's tough-to-meet carbon emissions targets for 2035, several firm said they would widen their production focus rather than restrict themselves to electric or other alternative-fuel vehicles.
