Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) clarified that there are presently no specific restrictions targeting imports from China. He noted that BYD vehicles, originating from China, are already operational on Indian roads, having met their duty requirements.
