Within three hours of the pre-order opening, the all-new Chery QQ3 received 27,319 orders.

The original Chery QQ series

The Chery QQ3 was first launched in 2003 as the first model under the Chery QQ series, followed by the QQ6 and QQme. The price tag was as low as 29,900 yuan (4,100 USD). At its peak, the series sold more than 40,000 units in its first year and more than 1.4 million units cumulatively before the series was discontinued in 2014.

Overall, the all-new Chery QQ3 adopts a round exterior along with large rounded headlights and taillights, a closed front fascia, semi-hidden door handles, “+” shaped rims, and dual-color side mirrors.

At the same time, some design elements from the old QQ model are also retained such as the “Q” logo on the C-pillar and the “CHERY” logo on the lower part of the doors.

Side profile

Dimensionally, the all-new Chery QQ3 measures 4195/1811/1573 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. There are 35 storage compartments throughout the interior, a 70L front trunk, and a 375L rear trunk that is expandable to a maximum of 1,450L.

Power comes from a rear electric motor that outputs either a maximum power of 58 kW (78 hp) or 90 kW (121 hp), depending on the trims. Its lithium iron phosphate battery is supplied by Gotion, providing a CLTC cruising range from 280 km to 401 km. Its top speed is 125 km/h. The battery capacity has not been revealed at this time.

Inside, the cockpit has a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a dual-color steering wheel, a rectangular instrument panel, and round air-conditioning outlets. Other features include AI voice interaction, 256-color ambient lighting, and wireless phone charging.
