New policies and outside pressures are leading to big changes to Canada’s burgeoning electric vehicle industry.

In February, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced increased incentives for prospective EV buyers as part of an effort to bolster the automotive sector. Chinese manufacturers are also preparing to release their EVs to the Canadian market.
