BYD has confirmed UK pricing and specifications for the Atto 3 EVO, the successor to the automaker’s first UK model, with on-the-road prices starting at £38,990. The Atto 3 EVO is available in two trim levels, Design and Excellence, priced at £38,990 and £42,730 respectively, with orders opening on 2 April.
The Design uses a single rear-mounted motor producing 309 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, while the Excellence adds a front axle motor for a combined 443 bhp and 560 Nm. Both variants use a 74.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Blade Battery offering a WLTP range of up to 316 miles, with a maximum charging rate of 220 kW enabling a 10% to 80% charge in 25 minutes, double the rate of the outgoing model.
BYD’s Cell-to-Body construction integrates the Blade Battery into the chassis structure, underpinning a new five-link rear suspension arrangement. Boot capacity grows to 490 litres, 50 litres more than the predecessor, with an additional 95-litre front storage compartment. The Design switches from the previous front-wheel drive layout to rear-wheel drive; the Excellence uses all-wheel drive.
Standard equipment on the Design includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen with integrated Google features, a 360-degree camera, heat pump, Vehicle-to-Load capability and heated front seats. The Excellence adds a head-up display, heated rear seats and a panoramic sunroof. Both variants carry BYD’s six-year, 93,750-mile vehicle warranty and battery cover of up to eight years or 155,350 miles.
