
Major Western car makers, which have been forced by government policies to manufacture and sell electric vehicles (EVs) in place of conventional petrol or diesel engines, face staggering losses, despite repeated claims by the Electric Vehicle Council and green lobbyists that the transition to electric vehicles is inevitable and accelerating.
Among the major Western corporations that have announced plans to cut EV production are Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, VW, Porsche, Mercedes Benz and Volvo. These are among the largest manufacturers in Europe and the United States, and have enthusiastically bought into the climate change mantra, and the need to cut carbon-dioxide emissions.
