BYD’s new sub-brand, Linghui, released the official image of its first model, the Linghui e9 all–electric sedan, boasting a maximum cruising range of 605 km.
Linghui is a new sub-brand under BYD, officially launched on February 2nd of this year with a vision of “redefining mobility through technological innovation,” primarily focusing on the public transportation market, including taxis, ride-hailing services, leasing companies, and government vehicles.
So far, three other models under Linghui were exposed by the Chinese MIIT in addition to the Linghui e9, including the Linghui e5, Linghui e7, and Linghui M9. The e series consists of all pure electric vehicles, while the M9 is the only plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Judging from both the official and declaration images, the Linghui e9 adopts the design style of the older BYD Han model, featuring a large grille with a chrome-plated dot-matrix mesh layout, flanked by sharp, split headlights in the front. Linghui’s brand logo is also visible above the chrome trim, along with conventional door handles and black-finished alloy rims from the side. The tire specifications are 245/50 R18 and 245/45 R19.

At the rear, the Linghui e9 adopts a continuous taillight design and has red reflectors on both sides of the bumper. Both the “Linghui EV” and “e9” logos are present in the center and lower right corner of the tailgate, respectively.
Dimensionally, the Linghui e9 measures 4995/1910 (1940)/1495 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2920 mm.
Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor, with a maximum power outputs of 135 kW (181 hp) or 150 kW (201 hp), paired with BYD’s Blade lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The 60.5 kWh and 64.315 kWh capacity correspond to a cruising range of 535 km and 605 km, respectively (assuming under CLTC conditions).
