A flatbed truck carrying new Tesla vehicles stacked on two levels erupted in flames on a highway in Zhejiang province, with no casualties reported.

Footage from a passing car shows approximately 10 Teslas on the truck, with half blazing in fire on Nov. 15. A thick black smoke cloud rising several meters into the air can be seen from a distance.
The Huzhou Traffic Management Center confirmed that the incident occurred on a highway in Huzhou, Zhejiang, and that no casualties were reported, according to Sina.
The Huzhou Fire Department successfully extinguished the fire, and local authorities are investigating its cause.
In the U.S., Tesla last week recalled around 10,500 units of its Powerwall 2 battery power systems due to fire hazards after 22 reports of overheating, Reuters reported.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that affected systems «may fail and overheat,» posing a risk of serious injury or death, although no injuries have been reported.
Additionally, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is pressing the U.S. EV maker over rising cases of defective Tesla door handles, which prevent doors from opening and trap parents and children inside vehicles.
