BYD’s updated Atto 3 all-electric crossover SUV, known as the Yuan Plus in China, will have a 74.880 kWh Blade (LFP) battery pack, providing a 650 km CLTC cruising range, exposed by the Chinese MIIT. For reference, the current second-generation BYD Atto 3 on the Chinese market is equipped with 49.92 kWh or 60.48 kWh Blade battery pack, offering a 430 km or 510 km CLTC cruising range.

Earlier, the Chinese MIIT revealed that the updated BYD Atto 3 will be equipped with a 230 kW (308 hp) TZ200XYC permanent magnet electric motor, an 80 kW (107 hp) increase from the current 150 kW (201 hp). The top speed has also increased from 160 km/h to 180 km/h.
At the same time, the dimensions remain unchanged: 4455/1875/1615 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.
Due to the increase in the battery capacity, the curb weight of the updated BYD Atto 3 has increased to 1,880 kg, which is 190 kg to 255 kg heavier than the current model (1,625 kg to 1,690 kg).

The price tag of the new car has not been revealed at this time. For reference, the current model is priced between 111,800 and 141,800 yuan (15,700 to 19,900 USD), featuring BYD’s “God’s Eye” C advanced driving assistance system across the entire series, supported by 29 sensors, including five millimeter-wave radars, 12 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
In terms of appearance, the updated BYD Atto 3 remains largely unchanged, but the newly added double five-spoke gray rims add a touch of sportiness. The 18-inch rim size remains the same, and the tires specifications are 215/55 and 235/50 sizes.

Additionally, the charging port has been moved from the right front fender to the right rear fender. Other configurations include a standard panoramic sunroof and optional front radar, side radar, side camera, rear camera, and window trim.
