Yangwang began pre-sales of the U8 at last year’s Shanghai auto show with two variants — the Premium Edition and Off-road Master Edition — both priced at RMB 1,098,000 yuan.

On September 20, 2023, the Yangwang U8 Premium Edition was officially launched, with a starting price of RMB 1,098,000 as in the pre-sale.

Deliveries of the Yangwang U8 Premium Edition began in November 2023, with a cumulative total of 5,523 units delivered by the end of March, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Apart from the U8 Off-road Master Edition, Yangwang also gave the U7 sedan its debut today.

The Yangwang U7 will be a flagship sedan priced at the RMB 1 million level and will be officially launched in the second half of this year.

The U7 will be the first model to feature BYD’s DiSus-Z intelligent body control system, which Yangwang said allows the vehicle to offer ride comfort beyond that of a maglev.

DiSus is a body control system released by BYD on April 10, 2023, and previously had three variants, including the intelligent vibration-damping body control system (DiSus-C), the intelligent air body control system (DiSus-A) and the intelligent hydraulic body control system (DiSus-P).

DiSus-Z’s has ultra-fast regulation with a response time as fast as 10 ms, a BYD executive said at the Yangwang launch.
