Companies from all over the world are presenting their new and future vehicles at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show going on in China. In this series, Volkswagen has also presented three great electric concept models – ID. Era, ID. Evo and ID. Aura. All these three vehicles can be seen running on the roads in the coming years. Two out of three are electric SUV concepts
Volkswagen has presented two electric SUV concepts – ID. Era and ID. Evo – at the Shanghai Motor Show 2025. At the same time, ID. Aura is an electric compact sedan. The interesting thing is that all three of these electric cars have been specially designed for the Chinese market. ID. Era has been developed by SAIC Volkswagen, ID. Evo by Volkswagen Anhui and ID. Aura by FAW-Volkswagen. This shows how much attention Volkswagen pays to the needs of Chinese customers.
Volkswagen ID. Era
This is a seven-seater electric SUV concept with a boxy and traditional SUV-like design. It has a flat front fascia, split headlight design, and black-out effect for the glass area, which gives it a strong and modern look. This electric SUV can give a range of up to 300 kilometers on a full charge. The special thing is that it also has a range extender petrol engine, which takes its total range to 1000 kilometers. This can be a great option for those who want an electric car but are a little worried about long-distance travel.
Volkswagen ID. Evo
This is also a large electric SUV, but it is designed especially to attract the youth. It is going to be a sporty car with a slightly reduced boxy appeal and a stunning fascia with LED DRL elements. Its headlights are sleek and extend towards the edges, giving it an aggressive look. This sporty electric SUV is based on 800V architecture for attractive performance, which means it will offer faster charging and better power delivery.
Volkswagen ID. Aura
It is a compact electric sedan with a very attractive design. It has an excellent lighting setup and sharp lines on the sheet metal, which give it a modern and premium look. ID. Aura is the first vehicle based on the company’s new CMP Skateboard (Compact Main Platform), making it an important base for future compact electric cars. Its design is designed keeping in mind customers who value both style and technology.
Equipped with advanced features
Many premium and advanced features can be seen in these three electric cars of Volkswagen. All three of these electric cars are included in the list of 30 new cars that the company will launch in China by the end of 2027. Out of these 30 vehicles, 20 are New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), which include pure electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and range-extended electric vehicles. These cars are expected to have features like an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a large touchscreen infotainment system, and connected car technology, which will make the driving experience even better.
