BYD launched the Song Ultra EV on March 26, with four variants priced between 151,900 and 179,900 yuan (21,000–24,800 USD). The model is available with CLTC ranges of 620 km and 710 km, according to Autohome.
This follows earlier coverage by CarNewsChina, which reported that the Song Ultra EV opened presales on March 5, starting from 155,000 yuan (22,470 USD), with a 270 kW motor and up to 710 km range.

Exterior
The Song Ultra EV features a minimalist front design with a black grille and an integrated headlight. A full-width daytime running light connects across the front.
The side profile features a floating roof created by a blackened D-pillar and a three-section waistline. The vehicle is equipped with 19-inch low-drag wheels. At the rear, a full-width light bar incorporates a Chinese-knot design, paired with an integrated roof spoiler. Six exterior colours are offered.
Interior and cabin
The cabin includes a 15.6-inch rotating central display, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a 26-inch head-up display, running BYD’s UI 7.0 system.
Interior materials include soft-touch surfaces in high-contact areas, a column-mounted electronic shifter, and 3D ambient lighting. The vehicle supports four-zone voice interaction.
A separate CarNewsChina report based on MIIT filings identified the Song Ultra EV as the Dynasty series’ first B-segment electric SUV, with a single rear motor layout and up to 710 km range.
Seating and storage
The front seats feature ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage. The driver’s seat provides 8-way electric adjustment, while the passenger seat includes additional adjustment functions and a leg rest.
The cabin supports a flat “bed mode” in which the front and rear seats fold into a continuous surface measuring approximately 1.8 meters. Rear seats fold in a 40/60 configuration, and rear legroom is listed at 986 mm.
Storage includes a 150 L front trunk and a 730 L rear trunk, expandable to 1659 L. A built-in cooling and heating box operates over the range of −6°C to 50°C.
Powertrain and charging
The Song Ultra EV uses a rear-wheel-drive single-motor setup with outputs of 240 kW and 270 kW, delivering 305 Nm of torque and a top speed of 210 km/h.
All variants are equipped with BYD’s Short Blade Battery 2.0, also referred to as the second-generation Blade battery. The battery capacities are 68.4 kWh and 82.7 kWh, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 620 km and 710 km, respectively.
Charging from 10% to 70% takes 5 minutes, while charging from 10% to 97% takes 9 minutes. At −30°C, the charging time increases by approximately 3 minutes.
Chassis and driver assistance
All variants come standard with the DiSus-C intelligent damping system and a suspension setup featuring a front McPherson and a rear five-link configuration.
The vehicle includes seven airbags, including a front centre airbag, and a tyre blowout stability system.
An optional DiPilot 300 system adds lidar and 27 sensors, supporting city navigation assist, highway navigation assist, and automated parking functions. Pre-sale orders exceeded 21,586 units.
