Aito, the top selling brand under HIMA, has officially commenced pre-sales for its all-new Aito M6, which has its official images unveiled last month. A highlight across all trims is the standard inclusion of Huawei’s 896-line LiDAR. The EREV variant is available from 269,800 yuan (39,100 USD), while the pure Electric Vehicle (EV) model starts at 289,800 yuan (42,000 USD).

The M6’s design differentiates it from the M7, M8, and M9 models. The M6 features “Star-studded” headlights with a “crushed diamond” effect, reminiscent of the Maextro S800. Air ducts are placed below the headlights to optimize aerodynamic drag.

In terms of dimensions, the Aito M6 measures 4960mm in length, 1985mm in width, and 1736mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. Buyers can opt for either 20-inch or 21-inch wheels, fitted with 255/50 and 265/45 tires respectively. The rear design maintains a family aesthetic, featuring luminous elements on both sides and a floating English logo in the centre. The taillight housing showcases a captivating “starlight” effect, further enhanced by a rear solid-state LiDAR and an ADS auxiliary driving blue light.

The interior of the Aito M6 is highlighted by an exclusive “Purple Mist White” two-tone color scheme. The cockpit is equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster, a Head-Up Display (HUD), a rotatable 4D adaptive central control screen, and an “Inspiration Window” for the front passenger. Additional features include an electronic stalk-mounted gear selector, dual wireless charging pads, dual cup holders, and a hollowed-out T-shaped console for personal belongings, complete with hidden hooks. A panoramic sunroof with a sunshade is also standard.

The M6 offers both EREV and EV powertrains. The EREV model is equipped with a 1.5T engine delivering a maximum power output of 112kW. It comes standard with all-wheel drive, powered by front and rear dual motors providing 165kW (221 hp) and 180kW (241 hp) respectively. Battery options include 37kWh and 53kWh, offering WLTC range figures of up to 272km, depending on battery capacity and configuration.

The pure EV variant is available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD version boasts a maximum power of 227kW (304 hp), while the AWD model combines 160kW (215 hp) and 180kW (241 hp) motors for a comprehensive maximum output of 340kW (456 hp). All EV models are equipped with a 100kWh battery, providing CLTC pure electric ranges of up to 760km, depending on the specific configuration.
