Xiaomi officially launched the 2026 refresh of the SU7 on March 19, reporting that 15,000 units were sold out in 34 minutes. The refresh spans Standard, Pro, and Max trims, priced at 219,900–303,900 yuan (31,870–43,950 USD). Deposits of 5,000 yuan (725 USD) secure orders, with customers allowed modifications through March 22.

The original SU7 was Xiaomi’s first mass-produced EV, introduced in December 2023 with an 800 km CLTC range and 0–100 km/h acceleration of 2.78 seconds.

Exterior and Interior

The 2026 SU7 refresh features a redesigned front grille with integrated 4D mm-wave radar and high-pressure cleaning for front- and rear-facing cameras. Exterior changes include blacked-out mirrors, 21-inch dual-layer forged wheels, and red brake callipers. Nine colour options are offered, with Max trim available in a Cabrio Blue special edition.

Interior updates standardise Dark Night black trim, three-layer ambient lighting, and Nappa leather on the steering wheel. Front seats feature 18-way adjustment with massage and side support; rear seats now include zero-gravity positions and upgraded headrests. Max trim adds a dual-zone, intelligent-dimming panoramic roof.

Xiaomi announced that 15,000 units of the new SU7 were sold in 34 minutes.

Powertrain and Range

All trims employ the V6s Plus motor with 94% energy transfer efficiency. Max trim accelerates 0–100 km/h in 3.08 seconds, with a top speed of 265 km/h. CLTC ranges are 720 km (Standard), 902 km (Pro), and 835 km (Max). The SiC high-voltage platform supports 752V in Standard/Pro and 897V in Max, enabling the Max trim to recharge 670 km in 15 minutes or 10–80% in 12 minutes.

Chassis, Electronics, and Safety

The Xiaomi “Dragon Chassis” features a front double-wishbone and a rear five-link independent suspension. Pro and Max trims add closed dual-chamber air springs with CDC variable damping, and all trims run 265 mm rear tyres.

The SU7 refresh integrates Xiaomi’s Super XiaoAI and XLA cognitive model, powered by a third-generation Snapdragon 8 chip plus a 700 TOPS auxiliary processor. OTA updates enable earlier SU7 models to adopt these systems. Standard driver-assist includes 25 features; Max trim adds nine airbags, hot-formed steel beams, integrated roll cages, and triple-redundant door handles.

Other features include an upgraded car fridge (-6–15 °C / 35–50 °C, 4.4 L) and 14–25 speaker audio systems with Dolby Atmos. ETC is standard, with full connectivity via 5G, UWB, and Wi-Fi 7.

Upcoming Xiaomi YU7 GT

In addition to the SU7 refresh, Xiaomi’s EV lineup continues to expand. On the same day as the 2026 SU7 launch, CarNewsChina reported that Xiaomi is preparing the YU7 GT SUV, a performance‑oriented SUV variant equipped with up to 990 hp and a target CLTC range of 705 km, positioning it as a high‑output complement to the SU7 family in the company’s model roadmap.
