The BYD Atto 3 Evo electric crossover was unveiled, set to arrive in global markets with an 800V high-voltage system, 4WD, and faster charging capabilities. It will accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and charge from 10 to 80% in 25 minutes.
The Atto 3 became one of the first BYD-branded new energy cars to go global four years ago. This model sells in China under the Yuan Plus name. In October 2025, the new generation of the Atto 3 was exposed by the Chinese regulator during the homologation process. The car revealed a substantial power and range boost.
BYD Atto 3 Evo tech
On February 11, BYD revealed that the new Atto 3 will be called “Atto 3 Evo” in the vast majority of overseas markets. It adopts a new 800V high-voltage system and a bigger battery pack for 74.88 kWh. It charges from 10 to 80% in 25 minutes at DC stations.

The entry-level BYD Atto 3 Evo has a single e-motor in the rear axle producing 230 kW (308 hp) and 380 Nm. It is 107 hp more than the ongoing Atto 3. Moreover, this e-motor was moved from the front axle to the rear one. As a result, the Atto 3 Evo RWD speeds up to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The range is 650 km under CLTC conditions.
The new vehicle will be also available with all-wheel drive for 330 kW (443 hp) and 580 Nm. Its zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 3.9 seconds. The BYD Atto 3 Evo 4WD will offer up to 510 km of range, thanks to the mentioned 74.88 kWh pack. Another benefit of the new model is a five-link independent rear suspension.
