Horizon Robotics and Nvidia are key players in China’s advanced driving chip market share rankings in 2025

In 2025, Horizon Robotics held a 47.66% market share in the front-view integrated camera ADAS solution and small-domain control computing chip segment in China. Nvidia held a 49.36% market share in the urban NOA ADAS chip segment, according to Gaogong Industry Institute (GGII).

GGII is a Chinese market research and media company specializing in artificial intelligence and robotics technology aapplications.

In 2025, the total number of vehicles delivered in the Chinese market (excluding imports and exports) equipped with factory-installed front cameras for ADAS was 8.9245 million units, with a penetration rate of 38.83%.

Horizon Robotics, together with Mobileye, controlled 75% of the market, while the third to fifth-place manufacturers shared less than 20% of the market.

Urban NOA computing chip

Urban NOA is gradually penetrating from high-end models to mainstream lower-end models, becoming a key factor driving the volume growth of ADAS computing platforms. For example, BYD introduced its lowest tier camera-based ADAS solution to its entry-level models.

In 2025, the number of passenger vehicles equipped with pre-installed urban NOA delivered in the Chinese market (excluding imports and exports) was 2.0709 million units, a year-on-year increase of 155.83%, with a penetration rate of 15.18%.

In the urban NOA computing chip market, Nvidia, Huawei, and Horizon Robotics collectively hold 90% of the market share.

Although some automakers are attempting to develop their own computing platforms and algorithms, adopting third-party advanced driving computing platform solutions remains the primary path to achieving rapid mass production and deployment of urban NOA systems. In 2025, the actual adoption rate of self-developed platforms in mass-produced vehicles was less than 5%.
