China’s first factory owned by Hylic for the mass production of liquid-solid state batteries has commenced operations in the fourth quarter of 2025, located in Jiangsu, China.
Hylic, known as Heyuan Lithium Innovation in China, was founded in January 2023, headquartered in Suzhou, China, focusing on the research, development, production, and sales of solid-state lithium-ion battery products for energy storage, power applications, and household appliances.

On December 27, 2023, Hylic signed a project contract with the local government on the establishment of Hylic’s liquid-solid state battery mass production line. The project has a total investment of 5 billion yuan (716.6 million USD), occupying 65.3 acres of land.
The construction includes a 10 GWh liquid-solid state battery production line, built in three phases. Phase one covers 20.84 acres of land and has a total investment of 500 million yuan (71.7 million USD) for an 1 GWh liquid-solid state battery production line. Phase two, built on the land of phase one, has a total investment of 1 billion yuan (143.3 million USD), constructing a 2 GWh liquid-solid state battery production line.
Phase three reserves 44.9 acres, with a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan (501.6 million USD), constructing a 7 GWh liquid-solid state battery production line.
Furthermore, at the operation launch ceremony, Hylic launched its “Six-in-One Battery,” with a focus on “energy density, safety, capacity, discharge rate, cycle life, and cost”, targeting multiple applications.

The intelligent lightweight power battery targeting small mobility vehicles such as electric scooter and bicycle boasts an energy density of 250 to 300 Wh/kg, passed 1,500 cycles of testing and 5 mm nail penetration test with 100% success rate.

The intelligent low-altitude power battery for applications such as EVTOL supports a maximum instantaneous discharge rate of 15C and a temperature range of -20 to 55℃.

The embodied intelligent solid-state battery features an energy density of 280 to 360 Wh/kg.

The automotive-grade power battery for cars boasts an energy density of up to 360 Wh/kg and a cycle life of 1,000 cycles.
