Changan officially launched its new Changan Nevo (Qiyuan) Q05 electric compact SUV today at the 2025 Auto Guangzhou. The new model, available in six variants, is priced between 79,900 and 109,900 yuan (11,200 and 15,400 USD).
Positioned as a pure electric compact SUV, the Changan Nevo Q05 boasts a CLTC maximum range of 506 km. High-end trims will also feature LiDAR.
The exterior of the new Q05 adopts Changan Nevo’s “Digital Smart Wing 2.0” design language. The front fascia features a continuous daytime running light strip across the top. Customers can choose from five body colours: Pine Green, Gilt Purple, Moonlight Silver, Cloud Shadow Grey, and Brocade White.

From the side, the Q05 features charging ports located on the front fender and semi-hidden door handles. The vehicle measures 4435mm in length, 1855mm in width, and 1600mm (or 1595mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 2735mm. The rear design mirrors the front with a continuous taillight strip and a large roof spoiler.

Inside, the Changan Nevo Q05 offers a wraparound cockpit design, available in two colour schemes: Jade White and Ink Black. The cabin is dominated by a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen and a 10.17-inch full LCD instrument cluster. Connectivity features include support for CarPlay and HiCar mobile phone integration, and the system can even connect with Haier smart home appliances.

A highlight is the “Tianshu” intelligent driving assistance system. High-end models are equipped with one LiDAR unit, 11 high-definition cameras, three millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. This sensor suite enables advanced navigation assistance (NOA) on highways and urban elevated roads.

The front passenger seat offers a “Queen’s Seat” feature, allowing for a 165-degree recline and leg rest. Both front seats provide heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The interior ambience is further enhanced by 256-colour ambient lighting.

Under the hood, the new Q05 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor delivering a maximum output of 120 kW (161 hp). All variants come standard with CATL’s lithium iron phosphate batteries, offering CLTC cruising ranges of 405 km and 506 km. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 160 km/h and supports 3C fast charging, capable of adding 120 km of range in 15 minutes.
