Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun stated that the 2026 Xiaomi SU7 recorded first-week deliveries of 4,000 to 5,000 units, according to posts published on March 29. The model was officially launched on March 19 and began customer deliveries on March 23.

Lei Jun also stated that Xiaomi aimed to improve delivery speed for the new model, with earlier preparation including advanced production and ready-to-stock vehicles. CarNewsChina reported that the 2026 Xiaomi SU7 received 15,000 orders within 34 minutes of its March 19 launch.

The Xiaomi SU7 marked Xiaomi’s entry into the EV sedan segment with its initial market launch in 2024. It was sold out within 24 hours of its initial launch.

Exterior

The new SU7 retains its fastback silhouette and introduces updates to exterior details, including a redesigned front grille integrating a millimetre-wave radar. The model continues to use signature “waterdrop” headlights. The maximum illumination distance of the high beam can reach 400 meters.

New colour options include Cabriolet Blue, Crimson Red, and Indigo Green, bringing the total to nine available finishes. The vehicle measures 4,997 mm in length, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, and features 20-inch wheels with a staggered tyre setup. At the rear, the model retains its “halo” taillight design and features an electrically deployable rear spoiler.

Lei Jun uses a new mechanical door handle to open the SU7 for the new owner.

Interior and intelligent cockpit

The cabin introduces an updated Xiaomi intelligent cockpit system, centred around a 16.1-inch 3K display, a 56-inch head-up display, and a 7.1-inch rotating instrument panel. Rear passengers can access optional expansion screens and a movable control panel.

The system supports dual 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, UWB-based vehicle control, and IoT integration. Voice interaction is handled by Xiaomi’s in-car assistant, supporting control over 95% of vehicle functions. Seating includes 18-way adjustment, a 60 mm extendable cushion, and active side bolsters. A front passenger zero-gravity seat offers ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage.

Powertrain, range, and charging

The SU7 lineup consists of three variants using a V6s Plus electric motor. Output is rated at 235 kW for the Standard and Pro versions and 288 kW for the Max variant.

The Standard and Pro variants operate on a 752V platform, while the Max uses an 897V architecture. CLTC range is listed at 720 km, 902 km, and 835 km, respectively.

Charging performance enables 450 km, 490 km, and 670 km of range added in 15 minutes, depending on the variant.

Safety and driver assistance

All variants are equipped with LiDAR, 4D millimetre-wave radar, and a 700 TOPS computing platform supporting Xiaomi HAD driver assistance. The system integrates a multimodal model for environment perception.

Safety equipment includes nine airbags and 2200 MPa hot-formed steel door beams.
