The updated Xpeng X9 EV minivan was launched in China with a price range of 309,800 – 369,800 yuan (45,170 – 53,920 USD). The 2026 model year MPV got rear-wheel steering, a maximum computing power of 2,250 TOPS, and an 800V high-voltage system as standard.
The Xpeng X9 EV is a large minivan with dimensions of 5316/1988/1785 mm. It became 23 mm longer than the outgoing model. The wheelbase remained the same at 3,160 mm. The electric X9 MPV features the brand’s distinguishing RoboFace design language with a sleek outline, floating roof, and two-storey headlights.
Xpeng X9 EV interior
The 2026 model year X9 EV could be distinguished by the front bumper, similar to the previously launched EREV variant. Its main feature is the active air intake in the front bumper. This MPV has dual-sliding doors and 19-inch wheels. The car is available with six body color options: purple, green, black, gray, silver, and white.
The Xpeng X9’s cabin adopts a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a 17.3-inch floating touchscreen. The gear shifter sits on the steering column. Other features of the new model are two wireless phone charging pads and a pair of cup holders. The car comes standard with seven seats (2+2+3).
The X9 EV boasts a roof-mounted 21.4-inch screen. The second-row captain chairs support zero-gravity mode. The car also adopts the updated AIOS 6.0 infotainment system with AI charging recommendations and voice control. The interior is available in three color schemes: Rose, Coffee, and Gray.
Another highlight is the adoption of three Turing AI chips with a combined computing power of 2,250 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second) and the second-gen VLA system. It helps the car to autonomously park and perform the NOA (Navigate On Autopilot) feature even on rural roads. The car can avoid potholes and perform emergency steering support at 130 km/h.
Xpeng X9 EV powertrain and prices
The 2026 model year Xpeng X9 EV adopts an 800V high-voltage system, a dual-chamber air suspension, and rear-wheel steering. Its entry-level model has a single e-motor in the front axle for 235 kW (315 hp). The more powerful 4WD variant boasts 370 kW (496 hp). Two battery variants are available: an LFP pack for 94.8 kWh and a ternary NMC battery for 110 kWh. Its CLTC range is 650 – 750 km.
At the same time, Xpeng launched the new variant of the X9 EREV minivan called Ultra SE. It has a single electric motor in the rear axle for 210 kW (282 hp) powered by an LFP pack for 63.3 kWh. Trims and prices of the 2026 model year Xpeng X9 are as follows:
